CANAAN — Voters approved a petitioned article to increase the size of the Selectboard from three members to five, 318-297.
Voters overwhelmingly rejected a petitioned article to contract for an animal control officer, 446 to 162.
They approved a proposed operating budget of $6.37 million, up from $6.16 million last year.
They approved a proposed water and sewer budget of $381,000 to be raised by user fees, up from $352,000 last year.
They rejected an appropriation of $96,000 for the Government Buildings Capital Reserve Fund, as well as $70,000 for the Police Capital Reserve Fund.
In an uncontested race, voters elected Sadie Wells to a three-year term on the Selectboard.
