Jed Smith was relieved when voters rejected a $100,000 appropriation to clean up his family’s property on Dorchester Road, as the Town of Lyme has been pushing to clean up two properties the Smith’s own in town, which Smith argues are not junkyards and he wishes to clean up himself.
