Rally every day
I’m in full support of the No Kings Rallies and peaceful protests. It’s encouraging to see so many people coming out of their comfort zones and raising their voices against Injustice and against this epicly incompetent, hate-filled, fascist Administration.
There’s more to be done, though – and easily! We can each be our own rally every day by putting bumper stickers and signs on our cars. Let’s make messages and attitudes like “Live and Let Live” become widespread. Let’s get positivity and kindness broadcast wide and far and everywhere we and our cars go! Let’s inform (or remind) everyone who sees our cars that voting for Democrats is an effective way to truly care for ourselves and our neighbors by improving access to healthcare, improving public education, making the ultra-rich and corporations pay their fair share in taxes, protecting the environment, and keeping voting fair and accessible.
There are local print shops and websites where you can find or design your own bumper stickers. While parked, we could also put signs up in our windshields as a sunscreen. Together let’s try to wake up those who only watch (and believe) Fox “News” and provide encouragement for all to be aware. We’re all in this together.
When asked if I’m worried some angry Trumper might slash my tires, I admit I am. However, so many have had to be much braver than I in their fight for Justice. I can be this brave. Sitting idly by is not an option.
