WEST LEBANON โ A 56-year-old man who became trapped under an SUV after being hit in the Walmart parking lot on Tuesday afternoon was conscious and talking to first responders at the scene, said Lebanon Police Chief Phillip Roberts.
Lebanon police are investigating the incident in which the man was hit by an SUV driven by a 90-year-old woman. The vehicle rolled over him with its wheels, said Roberts.

The driver was turning left from the parking lot’s center aisle toward the store’s entrance when she hit the man, he said.
A bystander was looking at mulch on display in the parking lot when she heard cries for help and called 911. Another bystander, Patricia Burke, of South Royalton, turned to see the man on the ground and ran inside the store to ask employees to call an ambulance.

The man was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
