Meeting the region’s housing needs

There is a dire shortage of housing, particularly affordable housing, in the Upper Valley. Twin Pines Housing has made a significant impact in addressing this need; however, substantial unmet demand remains. The residents served by Twin Pines often face multiple interconnected challenges, including accessing healthcare and. mental health services, securing stable employment, and obtaining reliable transportation. The Upper Valley has a strong network of social service agencies that must work collaboratively to address these complex needs. Delivering these services is far more effective, however, when individuals and families are stably housed.

We have invested in a number of Twin Pines projects over the years and have great confidence in the exceptional leadership of Andrew Winters. We believe the organization can work collaboratively with its residents and the Town of Hartford to improve safety at the current locations while continuing to move forward with the proposed income-restricted project off Sykes Mountain Avenue.
