West Fairlee, VT – On December 3, 2025, Barbara West of West Fairlee, Vermont, was laid to rest alongside her husband of 55 years, Elliot West, at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. West, who died at age 93 of natural causes on November, 21, 2021, was a native of Los Angeles, California, where she and her writer-husband raised their family, and where she became an interior designer following a first career as an actress. In her early acting days, she spent a season in summer stock in Brattleboro, Vermont-never suspecting she and her husband would move to the state in 1982. Here, she worked for a time as a social worker and wrote a gardening column for the Valley News for nine years. West is survived by a son and a daughter and three grandchildren.
