Etna, NH – Cora H. Moses, 87, passed away at Wheelock Terrace in Hanover on Wednesday December 3, 2025. She was born to the late Morris & Ethel (Elder) Hayes on October 13, 1938. Cora graduated from Hanover High School, class of 1956. She married Harold Moses on October 26th 1956 and they began their family in Etna. She worked for the Hanover school system for 36 years before retiring. Cora was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Etna Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess for many years, 4-H Club Leader, Mascoma Valley Regional Retired Educators Association and New Hampshire Retired Educators Association. She enjoyed playing horseshoes, dancing, camping, fishing, knitting, kayaking and she loved the ocean.
She is survived by her children George Moses, Brenda Mayo and her husband David, two grandchildren Nathan Mayo and Mindi Kelcey and husband Colby Two great grandchildren, Marley Kelcey and Peyton Kelcey. Two sisters Maxine Wallace and husband George, Norma Pelton and husband Ken, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Harold, a brother Frank Hayes, sisters Earlah Swift and Glenna Neily.
Family and friends are invited to Cora’s memorial service at the Etna Baptist Church in Etna, NH on Saturday December 13th at 2 PM. Committal prayers will follow in the Hanover Center Cemetery in Hanover Center.
