WHITE RIVER JUNCTION — Six Upper Valley residents who volunteer at Cover Home Repair earned Spirit of NH Awards.

Cover Home Repair is a White River Junction-based nonprofit organization that repairs homes and completes weatherization projects for those in need throughout the Upper Valley. It also operates a thrift store to help fund home repair projects.

Volunteer NH, a nonprofit organization that supports volunteerism throughout New Hampshire, gives out the Spirit of NH Awards. Community members nominate volunteers for the awards and a Volunteer NH committee reviews the nominees.

The following Cover volunteers earned awards: home repair volunteers Bill Turner, of Sutton, N.H., and Clifton Bill, of Dorchester; and store volunteers Fran Oscadal, of Lebanon; Nelson Carter, of Lebanon; Colleen O’Neil, of Cornish; and Sara Tally, of Hanover. They will be honored during a ceremony on Oct. 27 in Concord.

Volunteers with other Upper Valley nonprofit organizations also earned Spirit of NH Awards, including: Michelle Boydston, CommunityCare of Lyme; Mary Brown, LISTEN Food Pantry and Dining Hall; and Fran Noel, CommunityCare of Lyme.

Additionally, CommunityCare of Lyme’s board of directors; and Jamie and Lynn Lowery, who make up Listen Community Services’ “Data Group” earned Spirit of NH Awards in the group category.
