LYME — In Lyme’s floor meeting on Tuesday night, voters rejected a petitioned article that would have required the Selectboard to perform a “Full Statistical Revaluation” for the tax year 2024 to update appraised property values to more accurately reflect the current market.

The article, which would have cost $55,000 from the Property Reappraisal Capital Reserve Fund, was not supported by the Selectboard or the Budget Committee.

Voters approved all other warrant articles, including a town operating budget of $2.76 million.

The town’s ballot voting is scheduled for March 28 from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. at the Lyme School. Both the floor meeting and the ballot voting were rescheduled from March 14 due to a winter storm.
