LYME — A home on Culver Hill Lane was damaged in a three-alarm fire on Saturday, according to a Monday news release.

There were no injuries reported in the fire. The only person at the home at the time of the fire had started a generator due to what was an ongoing winter storm-related power outage. The occupant smelled smoke and found the fire near the generator inside the garage, before calling 911 and safely exiting the structure.

The Lyme, Hanover and Orford fire departments responded to the fully involved attached garage fire on Saturday at about 3 p.m. The fire extended into a breezeway connecting the garage to the home, but firefighters were able to stop it before it got to the house. The fire was under control by about 4 p.m.

The blaze caused “significant damage” to the garage and breezeway. The main house remains intact, although it suffered smoke, heat and minor water damage.

The home, which belongs to Richard and Elizabeth Bradley, is assessed at a value of $748,000, according to town property records.

In addition to the Lyme, Hanover and Orford fire departments, Piermont, Lebanon, Canaan, Bradford, Fairlee, Thetford, Norwich and West Fairlee fire departments also responded to the scene. Strafford and Haverhill fire departments came to Lyme and Thetford to provide regional coverage.
