BRADFORD, Vt. — The community will have an opportunity to evaluate the candidates for Oxbow High School co-principals during an online meeting Wednesday evening of the Oxbow district’s board.

There are four finalists for the two new positions of co-principals at Oxbow: Kaitlin Moran, Joy Clancy, Ashley Youngheim and Ken Cadow, according to the Orange East Supervisory Union’s website.

Moran is originally from Vermont, but has spent most of her career in Boston Public Schools. In her most recent role, she has worked training teachers and leaders around the country in topics related to social justice and creating equitable classroom environments.

Clancy, who graduated from Oxbow in 1986, lives in Canaan and plans to move to Orford once she and her family finish renovating a house there. She has worked in education in the Twin States for the past 25 years, including helping to launch the Rivendell Interstate School District and working as an administrator at Cardigan Mountain School in Canaan. Most recently, she has been assistant principal at Hillsboro-Deering High School in Hillsboro, N.H.

Youngheim, who lives in Lincoln, N.H., has taught in Detroit and northern New Hampshire. She also has worked training horses and equestrian students.

Cadow is a member of the leadership team at Randolph Union High School. He is creator and director of the Randolph Union Innovation Center. The Vermont Agency of Education and the New England Secondary School Consortium named him Vermont State Champion for Education Leadership in 2017, and the Vermont Business Roundtable gave him the New Medallion Award in 2019 for his work to prepare students for college and careers.

Oxbow’s current leaders, Principal Jean Wheeler and Assistant Principal Robin Wozny, announced earlier this year that they would be departing at the end of June.
