HANOVER – Almost 20 more residents at Hanover Terrace tested positive over the weekend for COVID-19, bringing the total outbreak at the Lyme Road nursing home to 68, according to Martha Ilsley, the facility’s temporary administrator.

That includes 46 residents, 20 staff members and 2 caregivers who are contract workers from an outside vendor, she said via email on Sunday

The number of residents afflicted grew by 11 on Saturday and another 8 by Sunday. The number of staff affected has grown by 5 since Friday.

Hanover Terrace is now conducting daily testing and the facility’s medical director, Dr. Daniel Stadler, “has been in daily monitoring residents,” Ilsley said on Sunday.

“I continue to be so appreciative of our staff who are so dedicated and committed to our residents, and so thankful for all of our community support at this time,” she added.
