WINDSOR โ The Selectboard has hired the current Randolph town manager to replace longtime leader Tom Marsh.
The board selected Trevor Lashua from a pool of 35 candidates following a national search, according to an announcement the town posted to social media late Thursday morning.

โTrevor really distinguished himself based on his previous experience as a Town Manager, his knowledge of Vermont local government, and his easygoing personality,” Windsor Selectboard Chair Tera Howard said in the release. “I think he will be a great fit.โ
The Selectboard voted to hire Lashua during a special meeting Wednesday night.
He will begin his new role in Windsor June 15, said Marsh, who will retire in June after serving as Windsor’s town manager for 15 years.
Lashua grew up in Springfield, Vt. He earned a bachelorโs degree in communications and journalism at what was then known as Castleton University in Castleton, Vt., and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Vermont in Burlington, according to the release. He has worked in municipal government for around 20 years.
“I’m originally from the area, and my family and I have always kept an eye out for opportunities that would put us closer to family and friends,” Lashua wrote in an email. “Windsor is a great one, with a strong-sense of community, a good team in place, and the chance to follow a respected long-term manager.”
Lashua’s salary will be around $155,000 a year, Marsh said. Marsh’s official last day will be June 30, he said in a Thursday email.
Lashua has served as Randolph’s town manager since April 2021, according an article in The White River Valley Herald. Prior to his time in Randolph, Lashua was town administrator in Waitsfield, Vt., for three years.
“The time in Randolph was educational, unique, and full of enough lessons to last a lifetime,” Lashua wrote. “I’m thankful I had that opportunity, and for the folks who always offered their support, guidance, or a good laugh.”
His last day in Randolph will be June 12, Randolph Selectboard Chairman Lawrence Satcowitz said in an email. The Selectboard will have a meeting on Monday to discuss the next step’s for the town.
“(Lashua) is leaving on good terms with the Selectboard and is working with us to ensure that the transition to an interim manager will be as smooth as possible,” Satcowitz wrote. “We are grateful for his years of service and wish him well.”
