Kelly Welsh, an attorney who has taught secondary school for the past 11 years, has opened her own solo law practice, Law Offices of Kathleen R. Welsh, in the Tip Top Media and Arts Building in White River Junction.
Welsh, of Barnard, taught history at Thetford Academy from 2008 to 2019. Previously she had been an associate at Shillen & Mackall in Woodstock and deputy state’s attorney in Windsor County as well as solo practitioner in Windham and Windsor counties.
Welsh’s new practice will focus on employment, education, civil rights, contracts and family law, she said.
Cindy Haynes, owner of Haynes Real Estate in Claremont, has been named Realtor of the year by the Greater Claremont Board of Realtors.
The board said it will now submit Haynes for consideration in the New Hampshire Association of Realtors’ statewide competition later this year.
Haynes, a Claremont resident, has been a broker with Haynes Real Estate for 31 years.
