WEST LEBANON — Work crews repaving a heavily traveled stretch of Route 12A forgot a key feature on the busy commercial road when they painted in temporary markings — some key turning lanes.
Lebanon officials on Friday said the temporary striping “inadvertently omitted the center and left-turn lanes” along Route 12A between Airport Road and the intersection with the main entrances to Walmart and Price Chopper.
City officials acknowledged that the new traffic pattern “has caused confusion” but will be “fully corrected when the final coat of paving and final striping of the lanes is completed on June 10.”
Motorists were asked to be patient if they are stuck behind a driver waiting to turn left and urged them to “drive with extra caution until the repaving and striping is completed.”
