Systemic poisons are destroying our land

Sustainability. This used to be a concept to strive for. Non-organic dairy doesn’t agree.

We are destroying land with nonorganic field corn, which is the main feed for nonorganic dairy cows. This corn is poisoned. Farmers quote the gospel according to Monsanto that Roundup is safe.

Long before planting the corn, seeds are poisoned with a Bayer neonicotinoid chemical. According to the Natural Resources Defense Council, “Neonics are neurotoxic insecticides, meaning they are pesticides designed to kill insects by attacking their nerve cells. Neonics permanently bind to nerve cells, overstimulating and destroying them.”

If these poisons bind to human nerve cells, they will do the same. These poisons are not in the Roundup mix. They are pre-applied to the corn seed.

Roundup is a cocktail of poisons. Glyphosate (Roundup’s main ingredient) is carcinogenic. Major lawsuits have recently been won against this product. New studies carried out by a collaborative team of scientists at Purdue University in the U.S., the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research, known as Inserm, and the Institut de Cancérologie de l’Ouest in Nantes, France, link this poison to slow-growing breast cancer, while it also disrupts other systems, generating cancers.

Atrazine, also used on corn, is banned in Europe. It is an endocrine and reproductive system disruptor.

All of these are systemic poisons. They are in the plant. The mix of the three, plus the “inert” ingredients, is a toxic mix. Everything that a cow eats is expressed in the milk. This includes the trace amounts of mixed poisons in their feed.

Currently our country has high levels of attention deficit disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and cancer. These could well be so high due to the levels of these poisons in our dairy products and in other foods.

Gov. Chris Sununu proves he is Trump-lite

I have lately become concerned about New Hampshire’s governor, Chris Sununu.

A very pleasant fellow indeed. However, he vetoed the bipartisan, AARP-supported elder abuse protection bill due to gun lobby pressure. He voted against correcting the problem of gerrymandering, saying it isn’t an issue, and he called family medical leave a “vacation.”

Let me tell you, the week I spent with my sister in an ICU was not my favorite vacation.

Once I started reading his statements in the newspaper, I started thinking that our so-called moderate Republican governor is really sort of Trump-lite.

Clearly? Really?

This is in response to John Guest’s Nov. 5 Forum letter (“It’s all about power,”) wherein he states, “Clearly, without the Russian interference, Hillary Clinton would have won.”

I have heard this line for three years now, from Trump haters and Clinton backers and in commentary from the media, but I’ve never seen any real “proof” that the Russians interfered with the 2016 presidential election. What did they do, how did they do it, and how did it affect the election?

Virtually everybody responsible for the various reports cited as “proof” that Russia interfered is under investigation for their “deep state” activities.

Perhaps we should wait until the investigations into the previous investigators have been completed.
