The Big Green baseball team has warmed up with the weather, winning three of its last four contests.
Dartmouth started the week off strong with a 4-3 win at home against Merrimack last Wednesday. The Big Green battled back from an early 3-0 deficit and took the lead and eventually the win on an RBI single from Sam Andersen in the sixth inning.
The Big Green then split Saturday’s doubleheader at home against Manhattan, falling 11-3 in game one but responding with a routing of their own in game two to pick up a 13-2 win in seven innings.

On Sunday, Dartmouth picked up its second straight win, 1-0. Andersen drove in the only run of the game on a triple in the fifth inning. Mac Burke, who relieved starter Nate Kugler, threw five scoreless innings, striking out one, allowing three hits, and walking two.
The Big Green are now 15-22 overall and 7-11 in conference play. They close the regular season with a three-game series at Yale, featuring a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 11:30 a.m. and a game on Sunday at noon.
Softball takes two of three from Princeton
The Big Green wrapped up their season over the weekend, taking two of three against Princeton on the road.
Dartmouth fell 8-1 in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader but turned things around in game two to take a 10-6 win. Olivia Schramm and Sydney Herrmann led the Big Green offense in the win with three RBIs each.
The Big Green picked up another win in Sunday’s contest by a score of 5-3. Schramm came up big again, knocking in four runs.
Dartmouth finished the season 10-23 overall and 7-13 in conference play.
Heavyweight rowing defeats Yale
The Big Green won every race on Saturday against the Bulldogs on Lake Morey, with times of 5:49.5 (4V), 5:44.5 (3V), 5:41.6 (2V), and 5:35.9 (Varsity Eight).
Dartmouth will compete at the Eastern Sprints in Worcester, Mass., on May 17.
Lightweight rowing wins Subin Cup against Columbia
The Big Green took down Columbia to take home the Subin Cup, picking up wins in the 2V (5:58.4) and the Varsity Eight (5:47.1) on Lake Morey Saturday.
Next for Dartmouth is the Eastern Sprints in Worcester, Mass., on May 17.
Women’s rowing finishes as runner-up at Women’s Eastern Sprints
In Worcester, Mass., on Sunday, the Big Green finished behind Brown in team points to secure second place at the Women’s Eastern Sprints.
Strong performances include a third-place finish (6:18.263) in the Varsity Eight grand final, a fourth-place finish (6:27.612) in the Second Varsity Eight grand final, and a second-place finish (6:40.166) in the Third Varsity Eight grand final.
Up next for Women’s rowing is the Ivy League Championship in Pennsauken, N.J., which begins on May 16.
Track and field competes at Northeastern over the weekend
The Big Green had some standout performances at the Jay Carisella Invite on Saturday.
Rebeka Žibritová, Veronika Ŝímová, Daniela Ruelas Lomeli, and Charlotte DiRocco set a program record in the 4-by-100 (45.44).
Additionally, Colton McMaster won the shot put (17.61m) and the discus (51.79m). Liam Murray won the 400m (47.07), while Andie Murray (2:05.50) and Mariella Schweitzer (1:01.36) won the 800m and the 400m hurdles, respectively.

Golf athletes receive Ivy nods
For the men, Luke Harper, who had four top-10 finishes this season, made the All-Ivy Second Team and was named the conference’s Rookie of the Year. Tyler Brand was named to the Academic All-Ivy squad.
On the women’s side, Olivia Cong was named to the All-Ivy Second Team, Sophie Thai was named an Honorable Mention and Academic All-Ivy, and Sophia Li was also named an Honorable Mention. All three athletes had four top-10 finishes this past season.
Lacrosse athletes named to All-Ivy squads
For the women, Maya Kendal, who led the conference in draw controls with 168 and broke the Ivy League record for career draw controls this season, was named to the All-Ivy First Team.
Mia Puccio, who scored 12 goals and added three assists, and Madeline Egan, who scored 32 goals, were named to the All-Ivy Second Team.
On the men’s side, Will Cohen was named to the All-Ivy Second Team — he had two goals and four assists this season, along with securing 46 ground balls.
Thomas Gogue, who led the Ivy League in turnovers caused with 25, was an Honorable Mention, along with Alex Jessey, who scored 31 goals and added 19 assists, and Emmett Paradine, who had 12 goals this season. Gogue also earned Academic All-Ivy honors.
Men’s tennis players pick up Ivy honors
Miles Groom and Henry Ren, who went 18-9 this season as a pair, were named to the Second Team All-Ivy Doubles squad. Groom is also now a member of the All-Ivy Singles Second Team and was named Academic All-Ivy.
Sailing earns New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association awards
Lilly Baker won the Babineau Crew of the Year, which is the first time someone in the program has won it since 2007. Bella Casaretto was named the Women’s Skipper of the Year. Head coach Rebecca McElvain was also named the NEISA Coach of the Year.
Additionally, Baker, Casaretto, Olivia Drulard, Chase Decker, Ryan Satterberg, Phoebe Lee, Madeline Koelbel, and Sudi Zhao all made All-NEISA squads.
Men’s hockey names captain
Last week, the Big Green announced their leadership plans for next season. CJ Foley will be the captain. Eric Charpentier, Hank Cleaves and Colin Grable will serve as the alternates.
“CJ, Eric, Hank, and Colin represent our program both on and off the ice with pride and character. They are young men who earned the respect of their teammates and were elected to wear letters,” Head coach Reid Cashman said in a news release from the college.
