Lebanon, N.H. — Florence “Flo” (King) Roberts, 86, died Thursday evening, Sept. 27, 2018, at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care in Lebanon.

She was born Feb. 29, 1932, to Leslie and Mary (O’Keefe) Howland, later her mother remarried Victor Goodrich. Flo married her first husband Charles H. King Jr. Aug. 22 1948, they made their home and raised their six children together in Lyme and Etna. After 43 years of marriage, Charles died unexpectedly and Flo married her second husband Jessie (Bing) Roberts on May 25, 2000. He also died of a sudden death on Nov. 25, 2001.

Flo worked in housekeeping at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover, N.H. as well as private homes including Senator Norris Cotton.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lebanon, the Fraternal Order of Eagle’s Auxiliary, the American Legion Post 22 Auxiliary, and the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Auxiliary all in Lebanon.

She loved camping, fishing, watching the birds with her cat, and best friend, Bogie.

She is predeceased by her sister Dottie Drumond of Tyngsboro, Mass.

She is survived by her six children, David King and wife Janet of Mesa, Ariz., Bruce King and wife Sylvia of Lyme, N.H., Douglas King and partner Vicki of Dalton, N.H., Debbie (King) Thurston and husband Weldon of West Lebanon, N.H., Dan King and wife Susie of Dalton, Steven King and wife Linda of Canaan, N.H.; two stepsons Jim Roberts and wife Donna and Donnie Roberts and wife Peggy; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Kathy Hill of Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the Hartford Cemetery in White River Jct., Vt. on Monday, Oct. 1 at 1 p.m. A reception will be held for family and friends at the American Legion in Lebanon.
