New London — The New London Police Department is investigating after a car struck a school bus bound for a Kearsarge Regional School District preschool this morning.

No one was injured in the 8:20 a.m. incident on Main Street in New London. The only student on the bus was evaluated by medical personal, according to a news release from the school.

The student was then re-evaluated by the school nurse before heading to class.

The bus, No. 77, was bound for James House Preschool. A passenger car trying to turn right as it exited a parking area on Main Street struck the side of the bus, according to the release.

This morning’s crash was the second time this year a Kearsarge bus bound for the James House Preschool was hit by a vehicle.

In April, a bus carrying five preschoolers was rear ended at the Exit 11 ramp off Interstate 89. No one was injured in that crash.
