Camp Billings Names New Directors 

Fairlee — Camp Billings, a co-ed overnight camp, has named Anne and Sean Collins, of Natick, Massachusetts, as its co-directors. This is only the fifth change of directors in the camp’s 112 years of operation. 

Anne and Sean Collins are middle school history teachers who attended Camp Billings in the 1990s before joining the staff and becoming camp sweethearts. Anne ran the office for many years, while Sean served as the counselor in training director where he trained staff for nearly a decade.

“The Collins understand our history. They’re energetic and are already respected by campers and staff alike. Most importantly, Anne and Sean are dedicated to preserving camp’s most cherished traditions while opening Billings to greater diversity and renewing ties to the Fairlee and Thetford communities,” Mike Lemme, president of the camp’s board of directors, said in a news release. 

Bob Green, who has served as director for the past 18 years, will assist with the transition through the upcoming summer season.
