Dartmouth-Hitchcock CEOs Sign Statements of Support for Guard and Reserve Employees

Lebanon — The CEOs Dartmouth-Hitchcock member hospitals have signed statements of support for employees who are members of the National Guard or Reserves, as part of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve program.

The CEOs who signed were Dr. Joanne Conroy, of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health; Dr. Susan Mooney, of Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital in Lebanon; Bruce King, of New London Hospital in New London; Dr. Don Caruso, of Cheshire Medical Center in Keene; Dr. Joe Perras, of Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center in Windsor; and Jeanne McLaughlin of the Visiting Nurse and Hospice for Vermont and New Hampshire, which is based in White River Junction.

The program aims to increase employer support by encouraging employers to act as advocates for employee participation in the military.

The statement of support reads: “We fully recognize, honor, and comply with the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act. (USERRA); We will provide our managers and supervisors with the tools they need to effectively manage employees who serve in the Guard and Reserve; We appreciate the values, leadership, and unique skills Service members bring to the workforce and will encourage opportunities to hire Guardsmen, Reservists, and Veterans; We will continually recognize and support our country’s Service members and their families, in peace, in crises, and in war.”
