With Windsor ahead by one, 59-58, and five seconds left in the fourth quarter, Thetford’s Nick Moses made one of two free throws to knot the score at the end of regulation. The Panthers then went 5-for-8 from the free throw line in overtime to edge the Yellowjackets in a thriller.
“It came down to turnovers and foul shots,” Thetford coach Jason Gray said. “We were 5-for-8 (in OT) and didn’t put them on the line at all.”
Windsor stormed to an early lead after forcing numerous Thetford turnovers. The Panthers regained composure and then started pouring in buckets in the second half. Thetford scored 19 points in the third quarter to set up a battle in the fourth quarter and overtime.
Dylan Thorburn led Thetford with 25 points. Lawson Ouellette made four 3-pointers on his way to 16 points. Alex Emerson added 14 for the Panthers.
Adam Stapleton paced the Windsor attack with 17 points. Seth Balch made four of the Jacks’ eight buckets from beyond the arc and finished with 15 points. Ben Meagher added 14 points and Robert Slocum had 10 points.
Thetford (3-1) hosts Williamstown on Saturday. Windsor (3-1) visits Hartford on Wednesday.

“I told the girls, you have the opportunity to make a memory you’ll never forget to play with only the five of you,” Mount Royal coach Derek Tremblay said. “I’m pretty happy for the girls, two of which (Bridget Wallace and Rosie Treece) are freshmen and haven’t played full varsity games before now.”
Sophie LaRose (16 points) and Alexis Matte (13 points) did the bulk of the scoring for the Knights. Amy Alterisio added two points. Matte also had 10 rebounds and five assists. LaRose pulled down eight boards. Treece had nine rebounds.
The Knights (6-1) look to have a full roster when they host Pittsfield on Wednesday.
Bonner Prendergast (Phila.) 49 Hanover 37

Hanover led, 11-10, after the first quarter. Bonner went on a run in the second, draining numerous outside shots including a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lead by 8, 29-21. The Friars then outscored the Marauders, 16-6, in the third quarter to put the game on ice.
“It was fun, high-level competition. We got to work on different things,” Hanover coach Dan O’Rourke said.
Maddie McCorkle had 15 points for Hanover and was named to the all tournament team. Bella Bardales added 10 points. The Marauders (3-3 overall, 2-1 NHIAA) are now on their way home and will host Bishop Brady on Wednesday.
Lebanon-Stevens 5, Bow 1

“I told the guys, the new year starts now,” Lebanon head coach Jim Damren said. “We played really solid tonight. … We challenged them, and they answered the bell.”
Nate Chickering contributed a goal and two assists, Aiden Yates and Trey Chickering added goals and Jon Cloud provided two helpers. Andrew Friend made 18 saves.
Damren was particularly pleased with his defensive unit. “We rolled with five defensemen and they all played outstanding,” he said. “It was truly a team effort.”
Lebanon hosts Timberlane on Wednesday.

KUA carried play throughout most of the game but just missed on scoring chances throughout, including shots by Andranik Armstrong and Paul Dore that each hit the post. KUA (11-3-1) visits New Hampton on Thursday.

Harwood had a 4-2 lead in the second period. Hartford’s comeback started with a goal in the final seconds of the second, then two more in the third to lead, 5-4. Harwood then scored an equalizer on the power play late in regulation to force overtime.
“The girls showed a lot of heart. I challenged them at the end of the second period to play like they can and they did that in the third and in OT,” Hartford coach Bill Goldsworthy said.
Wilson added an assist to finish with four points. Caitlin Gaudet added two goals and Kendyl Boisvert had one goal. Goalie Zoey Pfeiffer had 12 saves for the Canes (1-2-1), who play host to South Burlington on Wednesday.

Lauren Forgione put the hosts in front 19 seconds into the action, scoring with an assist to Hannah Coates. Lizzy Peck added an unassisted goal in the second period. Freshman Faye Stevens then fed linemate Peck in the third on a between-the-legs drop pass for Peck’s second goal of the night. Coach Ian Coates praised the play of Stevens, a strong and fast skater already making a big impression in her first varsity season.
“We really came out with the right amount of intensity and had our forecheck working right away,” Coats said. “We are playing really well, especially defensively.”
Goalie Bridgit Black made 10 saves to earn the shutout. Woodstock held a 20-10 edge in shots, including racking up 18 shots in the first two periods. The Wasps (3-2-1) host Missisquoi on Wednesday night.
Massena (N.Y.) 8Lebanon-Stevens 2

Elizabeth Jones and Julia Tibbits each scored for the Raiders. Lily Barber had an assist. The score was tied, 2-2, in the early going before the shorthanded Raiders ran out of gas and Massena scored six straight unanswered goals.
Lebanon-Stevens is down to eight skaters due to injuries. Goalies Adrieanna Maccioli and Halle Drew combined to make 27 saves. The Raiders (1-5) host Keene on Tuesday at Campion Rink.

Hartford qualified second led by Joseph Raymond with qualifying games of 203 and 233. Dylan Crowley added 187-186 and Thomas Raymond had a 211. Rayce Gilbert had 191-148 to lead Windsor in qualifying. Tatyana Malikowski added 166-123 and Grayson Frazer had 127-139.
Hartford won the first game of the Baker over Windsor, 140-139. The teams then tied at 142-142 in the second game, but Hartford advanced after winning a roll-off, 60-34.
Hartford hosts Oxbow, Springfield and Randolph in Claremont on Saturday.
Vermont All-State Teams Announced
Hartford’s Tyler Hamilton was named defensive player of the year to lead an area contingent named to the 2017 American Family Insurance All-USA Vermont Football Team.
Hamilton, who also starred at quarterback for the Hurricanes, earned defensive player of the year for his work at free safety this past season. Hamilton made 50 tackles and had two interceptions, upping his career total for INTs to 16.
Hamilton and fellow Hartford defensive back Nick Porter each were named to the defensive first team. A trio of Windsor athletes, defensive lineman Ben Meagher, linebacker Trevor Worrall and defensive back Seth Balch, were named to the defensive second team.
Hartford had three players named to the offensive first team: running back Kody Rhodes, wide receiver Austin Gaudette and lineman Justin Bettis. Windsor lineman Trenton Allen also was named to the first team.
Albany 76, Dartmouth 61

Cy Lippold had 15 points to lead Dartmouth. Isalys Quiñones added 11 points in her first game back in the lineup since Dec. 11. The Great Danes led by six, 34-28, at halftime and then pulled away in the third quarter to lead, 56-37, heading into the final frame.
Dartmouth (8-4) visits Binghamton (N.Y.) at 2 p.m. today.

The pair helped the Wildcats shoot 50 percent (27 of 54) from the field. Leissner hit 9 of 16, including 4 of 4 from deep, while Armstrong was 8 of 10 from the floor and 4 of 4 from the line.
UNH (4-10) built a 15-point lead by intermission, 45-30, and Leissner hit two of the Wildcats three-straight 3-pointers to push the lead to 20 points, 54-34 three minutes into the second half.
Miles Wright led Dartmouth (4-7) with 14 points. Will Emery added 12.
