Anna Wolke — #8

Sophomore defender from Meriden

Scouting report: Soccer and basketball player who views the latter sport as her primary athletic focus. … The lacrosse team’s best player as a defender, with the speed and skill to come out on ball carriers and the strength and toughness to deny them entry to the 8-yard arc. … Not afraid to chide or comfort her teammates. … Teams learned quickly that she could shut down opponents with a basketball press mentality. Her trademark crouch, stick straight up, conveyed her intensity. … Second-team all-NHIAA Division III honoree. … Father, Thom, was once the Claremont Opera House’s executive and artistic director and now manages performing arts clients. He’s also a longtime usher at Dartmouth College men’s hockey games.
