Randolph — A colorful 5K last weekend sponsored by Clara Martin Center drew about 220 walkers and runners.

The Randolph-based nonprofit provides mental health and substance abuse services in the greater Upper Valley region.

Held on May 7 at Thetford Academy, Color Splash was the final event in a yearlong series of celebrations honoring the center’s 50th anniversary.

Participants were doused with non-toxic colored powder along the wooded route.

The untimed 5K was designed to increase awareness of mental health and addiction recovery services in the area, organizers said.

Attendees included Scott and Lois Martin, special guests from Massachusetts.

Scott is the eldest son of Clara and Brewster Martin, the agency’s founders.

The inaugural event also featured a pre-race Zumba warmup, a photo booth and children’s activities.
