Claremont — A Manchester man wanted by Claremont Police as a suspect in the alleged rape of a 14-year-old last July was arraigned on Friday in Claremont District Court.

Thomas Edwards, 52, is charged with aggravated felonious sexual assault and attempted aggravated felonious sexual assault, police said in a news release on Friday. Bail was set at $100,000.

Edwards was taken into custody without incident on Thursday by police in Manchester. Edwards has a probable cause hearing scheduled for May 8.
