Orford
Starting pitcher Dashiel Fukushima threw into the seventh inning and the Rivendell Academy baseball team held on to beat visiting Blue Mountain, 5-3, on Monday afternoon at Community Field.
The Raptors scored three runs in the third inning on a trio of RBI singles by Jake Kilmer, Lucas Streeter and Wiatt Suich. Rivendell then added two in the sixth on RBI doubles by Sam Tilden and Dametres Perry to lead 5-0.
Blue Mountain finally got to Fukushima in the top of the seventh, scoring two runs and loading the bases with only one out. Tilden came on in relief to record the second out on an RBI sacrifice fly to center field and the third on a pop out to himself near the mound to nail down the save.
Fukushima finished with nine strikeouts and allowed just two hits over 6 innings of work.
Center fielder Zach Gould, an eighth-grader, made several nice plays, including a diving catch that coach Eric Reichert said was one of the best he’s seen in more than 20 years as head coach. Rivendell (3-8) visits Twinfield on Wednesday afternoon.
Suncook, n.h.
Perkins pitched five innings, allowing six hits, two runs and a walk while striking out three. Derek Griffin came on for two shutout innings of relief to get the save.
Lebanon led 5-0 before Pembroke rallied to make things interesting in the final two innings. Caleb Broughton had two hits and a run scored to go along with a lead-preserving diving play at shortstop for the third out in the sixth inning to keep Lebanon up. Pete Elder scored twice and had one hit.
The Raiders (4-8) host John Stark (10-2) on Wednesday.
Claremont
Drew Grenier started the game-winning rally when he reached base on an error with one out and then stole second base. Coby Hussey followed with a line-drive single right at the center fielder to advance Grenier to third. Napsey was down on an 0-2 count and then fouled off a few tough pitches before grounding a ball through the hole on the left side of the infield to score Grenier with the game-winning run.
Napsey also started on the hill and went all seven innings, striking out seven while allowing one earned run on four hits and three walks.
Noah Spaulding had a hit, scored a run, drove in one and had a stolen base. Grenier scored twice. Zach O’Brien added an RBI single. Freshman Trey Theriault had an RBI single in the fourth inning for his first career varsity hit.
The Cardinals (6-4) visit Hopkinton on Wednesday.
Fair Haven, Vt.
Seth Balch allowed six runs in the first four innings before Robert Slocum entered the game in relief in the fifth, allowing one hit and recording two strikeouts to get the win. Jake Meagher had one hit, two walks, two runs scored and one RBI, and Balch added two hits, two RBIs and one run.
Windsor (4-5) begins an eight-game stretch over two weeks by hosting Bellows Falls today.

Eric Thornton scored in the seventh inning for Woodsville. Cooper Davidson singled for the lone Engineers hit. Woodsville visits Lin-Wood on Wednesday.

Owen Tarleton had a hit, a stolen base and scored a run for Woodstock. Joe Bianchi and Evan Patch each had singles. Woodstock visits Green Mountain on Wednesday.

White River Junction
Elizabeth Greenan, Rachel Loseby and Kayla Lancor each had two hits and two RBIs to lead the 14-hit Hartford attack. Brooke Hurd went all seven innings in the circle, scattering five hits and six walks while allowing four earned runs.

Alyssa Prest pitched the first four innings for the Engineers, striking out six while allowing a run on one hit.
Prest and Kyleigh Lamarre each had an RBI double in the first-inning rally. Lamarre finished 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, three runs scored and three RBIs. Gabby Taylor was 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBIs and two stolen bases.
Woodsville (8-4) visits Lin-Wood on Wednesday.

Windsor’s Katie Harriman gave up 12 hits, four walks and seven earned runs, recording one strikeout in seven innings of work. Becca Rumrill had two hits. Erin Wierzbicki and Emily Anderson each scored the Yellowjackets only two runs.
Windsor (0-11) travels to Otter Valley on Wednesday.
Woodstock
Hannah Reali and Kaila Lemmer were the highlights on defense for Woodstock, which dropped its second in a row. Maddie Moore allowed seven hits, one home run and recorded five strikeouts in seven innings. Gabbi Rozumek scored two runs and Lemmer, Moore, Loretta Blakeney and Heather Blanchard each scored one for the Wasps.
Woodstock (6-4) travels to Ludlow to play Black River under the lights tonight.
Woodstock
Arthur had three goals, Bald had two goals and an assist and McCarthy had a goal and two assists. Daniel Robinson added a goal and an assist. Patrick Potter, Jonas Kantola and Caden White also scored, and Lucas Piconi and Austin Waterman each had assists.
Woodstock led 5-3 at halftime and built a 10-5 lead before Middlebury scored twice in the final 90 seconds. Goalie Coleman McKaig had seven saves for the Wasps, who play host to Rice on Thursday.

Lauren Kaija broke a 13-13 tie on her sixth goal of the game with 1:11 left to play in the fourth quarter. Woodstock led 9-8 at halftime and 12-9 at one point in the second half before U-32 rallied to knot things up late.
Grace Vosburgh added three goals and two assists for the Wasps. Miranda Johnson had two goals. Nikki Sweeny had a goal and two assists. Abby Kaija had a goal and an assist.
Goalie Megan Dalton had four saves for Woodstock, which plays host to Mount Anthony on Wednesday.

Copeland finished with seven goals and Seibel scored once and had six assists. Cate Wagner added three goals and one assist. Maddie Lyons had two of each. Sonthaya Lacy, Hailey Fahey and Izzy Sangha each scored a goal.
Seibel and Mahler Meyerrose combined for 11 draw controls for the Marauders. Goalie Katlyn Hurd had two saves. Hanover (8-3) visits Windham on Wednesday.
Moretown, Vt.
Williams led Hartford with three goals. Amanda Locke scored twice. Shayla Prior and Alice Dwyer each had a goal and an assist. Michaela Ricker had one goal, and Emily Ricker added an assist.
Coach Jen Wheatley praised the play of goalie Victoria Stevenson, who finished with 21 saves. Hartford hosts Chelsea under the lights on the Hartford High football field on Thursday night.
Woodstock
The Wasps won the first three matches before Hartford won the next three while the marathon No. 1 doubles match was ongoing.
Kopf and Rasmussen were up to the task as they rallied from a first-set loss to Hartford’s Hunter Brooks and Ethan Sneddon to give the hosts the match victory.
Ray Kurek (7-5, 7-5) and Oliver Wilson (6-0, 6-4) won in singles for Woodstock.
Hanover
Graham Dickson (8-4), John He (8-5) and Benny Gantrish (8-2) all earned close victories for the Marauders. Hanover (8-2) travels to Winnacunnet today.
Brandon, Vt.
Momo Biele (6-0, 6-1) won at No. singles for Woodstock. Grace Frazier (6-0, 6-0), Morgan Hartman (6-1, 6-0), Sarah Findeisen (6-3, 6-1) and Kenzie Biele (6-1, 6-1) also won in singles. Katey MacMaster/Chloe Nobel (6-0, 6-1) and Emma King/Elise Geschardt (6-0, 6-0) won in doubles.
Woodstock hosts Rutland on Wednesday and MSJ on Thursday.

Kamel earned the individual medal, with three teammates following close behind: Ryan Landgraf (43), Jake Kamel (46) and Jake Perkins (47). Host Mid Vermont Christian didn’t compete as a team.
The Raptors join Hartford, Springfield and Fair Haven for a nine-hole match with host Woodstock at Woodstock Country Club this afternoon.
