Frontenac, Kan. —
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of David Henry Partridge, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2016, in Pittsburg, Kan.
David was born July 5, 1939, in New London, N.H. He was raised on a farm, so hard work was no stranger to him. After graduating from Sunapee High School in 1957 he served his country in the Navy for four years. Upon returning to the Dartmouth/Lake Sunapee area, he met and married his wife of 51 years: Sandy Partridge. Together they raised five children and later settled in Fulton, Mo. David worked at the Reception and Diagnostic Center for the state of Missouri, eventually retiring and moving to Mulberry, Kan.
David could fix anything and everything especially for those he loved. He enjoyed singing and playing many instruments including the guitar, harmonica, and keyboard. He wrote short stories about his life growing up on a farm for the Soo Nipi Magazine. David also loved animals, especially his dog Dudley.
During his final days, he filled his time visiting with friends and family, reading the bible and praying, painting, and enjoying trips to Sonic with one of his many grandchildren he loved.
His wife Sandy Partridge; children, Laurie Brown, Robert Partridge, Barbara Ware, Linda Perkins, and Brian Partridge; brother Walter Partridge; sister June O’Conner; 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren survive him. His brother Arthur Partridge precedes him in death.
A memorial is planned for Oct. 2016 in New Hampshire. Memorials may be given to Light House Tabernacle: 604 S 200th, Pittsburg, KS 66762 in lieu of flowers.
The family wishes to extend thanks to Medical Lodge of Frontenac for their gracious care.
