Lyme, N.H. — It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Donald D. Fisk on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at the Jack Byrne Center on the DHMC campus after a courageous battle against cancer. He was born in Greenfield, Mass, Feb. 3, 1938, to Donald C. and Bertina (Grant) Fisk.

He was predeceased by his parents; sisters Geri Accetta and Bettie King; brothers John and Herbert; brother-in-laws Francis Kirby and Albert King; sister-in-law Linda Fisk (Richard); several nieces, nephews; and long-time “side kick” Gerald “Rosie” Rosendahl.

Left to cherish his memory, Don is survived by his loving second wife, Donna (Record) Hadley Fisk with whom he shared 43 years of marriage and companionship; his daughter Suzanne M. Fisk and companion George Hubbard of Weathersfield, Vt.; his daughter Elizabeth A. (Fisk) Day Hillard, husband Lawrence, of Windsor, Vt.; ex-wife Mary Ann (Willard) Gardner, Fla.; stepson Jeffrey M. Hadley and companion Shannon Westwood, Plainfield, N.H.; stepdaughter Sabrina M. Hadley Miller, husband Rodney, Statesville, N.C.; his dear sister Dorothy Kirby, No. Adams, Mass.; brothers Richard, Pittsfield, Mass., Albert and wife Jean of Charlestown, N.H.; four grandchildren (Day), Joseph, Thomas, Caitlin and Michelle; four step-grandchildren Lexie Seace Przybycien (Jessica); Jeremy Seace; Emily and Lauren Hadley; Saved his life special friend, Edna Barrett; his cousins, nieces, nephews and his beloved cat, Fluffy.

Don graduated from Greenfield High School, Class 1956. Employment brought him to N.H. and Dartmouth Printing Company where he worked for 37 years, achieving status as Master Printer until he was medically retired due to a heart condition in his late 50’s. Throughout the years he experienced many areas of life for enjoyment, pleasure and satisfaction. Enjoyed country music, playing guitar solo or on occasion with Suzanne and George. He enjoyed the tranquility of brook trout fishing and hunting years with Rosie. A master of oyster stew and chili, vegetable gardening with a variety of potatoes. Creative and artistic as a woodworker, metal lathe, designing furniture for personal use and drawing. He could be witty. His artistic ability was unique and known within his family and close friends. He was a 55-year member of the B.P.O.E and 25-year member of the Eagles.

Per Don’s request there will be no services. Cremation Phaneuf Crematorium, Manchester, N.H.

In Honor of Don, memorial contributions can be made to the Jack Byrne Center, Lebanon, N.H.; The Lyme Fast Squad; the Hanover Ambulance.
