Lebanon, NH – Janet R. Havey, age 87, of Lebanon, New Hampshire, and Ocala, Florida, passed away on March 9, 2026, at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, NH, following a brief illness.
Born on May 1, 1938, in Cavendish, Vermont, Janet was the daughter of Richard Allen and Hilda Lorrine (Perkins) Towle. She attended schools in West Fairlee, Vershire, and Thetford Academy.
Janet married Earl Rogers, and together they raised four children-Bonnie, Robert, Rhonda, and Allen-in Post Mills, Vermont. Janet was known for her strong work ethic and had various jobs throughout her life. Among her favorite positions were roles at the Tip Top Bakery in White River Junction, Vermont, and New England Digital in Lebanon, New Hampshire. She also cherished her time working with Doug and Ann Broadbent at Doug’s Home Bakery.
In her later years, Janet split her time between New Hampshire and Florida and enjoyed golfing with her partner Richard.
Janet was predeceased by her parents, her son Robert, grandchildren Jason and Jasmine, her sister Cora Kern, brothers Ronald Dean Towle and Winston G. Coburn, Jr. (Buddy), and her husband Stanley Havey.
She is survived by her children: Bonnie Rogers; Rhonda Terrill and her husband, Todd; Allen Rogers and his wife, Karen; as well as her daughter-in-law, Rose. Janet also leaves behind grandchildren Bronwyn, Tabitha, Christopher, Keagon, Ryan, and Sierra, as well as four great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brother Richard Towle, her sister Jackie, and her longtime companion Richard Farmer.
A graveside memorial service will be held at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery, located at 487 Furnace Road, Randolph Center, VT 05061, on May 22, 2026, at 9:00 AM.
