Articles of note: Two articles ask whether voters will approve five-year extensions for property tax exemptions previously granted to the Root District Game Club and the Beaver Meadow Schoolhouse Association.

Contested races: There are no contested Selectboard or school district races.

Budgets and spending articles: The proposed budget is $6.86 million. The budget is a slight increase from the $6.7 million budget voters approved last year. The proposed school district budget is $8.89 million, up from $8.27 million approved last year. Voters will also be asked whether to appropriate $60,000 to the Emerald Ash Borer Response Fund and $396,000 to the library.

When, where and how to vote: A public informational hearing to discuss ballot articles is scheduled for Monday, March 2 at 7 p.m. at Tracy Hall, 300 Main St. Australian ballot voting will take place on Tuesday, March 3 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Tracy Hall.
