CLAREMONT — The Stevens High School golf team opened the new season in soggy but solid style on Wednesday.

All four scoring Cardinals produced double-digit tallies to claim a four-school match at Claremont Country Club. Junior Dylan Adamovich amassed 21 points in the modified Stableford scoring system and classmate Finn Allen followed with 17 as Stevens (3-0) knocked off Fall Mountain, Lebanon (1-2) and Monadnock in a contest that ended in pouring rain.

Players earned points, starting at 1 for a double bogey, for each hole played. Adamovich finished second behind Fall Mountain medalist Mitchell Cormier (23 points). Cedric Allen had 16 points and Reeve Wilkinson notched 13 for the hosts.

“I know they’ve gotten better under (coach Ryan Seaver),” Lebanon coach Chris Pollard said. “They’ve improved year after year. … I wasn’t surprised they came out on top.”

Zach Bitler paced Lebanon with 15 points, followed by 12 from Joe Roberts, nine from Nathan Stark and eight from freshman Roy Shapard. Lebanon visits Campbell on Tuesday for a four-school contest at Passaconaway Country Club.

The Cards hit the road on Wednesday, visiting Belmont.
