LEBANON — Nick Lamontague has been named the Lebanon School District’s October student of the month.
Lamontague is a senior at Lebanon High School. Among his many interests are cross country running, the swim team and white water rafting, according to a news release from the district.
He is described as a “conscientious worker” who is good at asking questions and is open to suggestions. He is helpful to students and teacher alike.
“Nick is quick to compliment others and to offer help when needed,” according to the news release. “He is polite, thoughtful, and always seeks to check in with how others are doing.”
Misty Ftorek, of Meriden, and Emma Guthrie, of Thetford Center, made the president’s list for the Summer 2022 semester at the Community College of Vermont.
Jessica Rodimon, of Newport, and Autumn Morse, of Springfield, Vt., made the dean’s list for the Summer 2022 semester at the Community College of Vermont.

RANDOLPH — Joshua White, who serves as chief medical officer at Gifford Medical Center in Randolph, earned a distinguished service award from Luther College.
White, of Bethel, graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, in 1997.
The college presents awards to alumni and community members each year “who have exhibited admirable service to society in areas such as education, government, the arts, business, church, labor, industry, agriculture, research, medicine and community affairs,” according to a news release.
White attended the University of Iowa Medical School and earned a master’s degree in health care from the University of St. Thomas. In 2009, he co-founded the Community Health Initiative in Haiti. After the country’s 2010 earthquake, White led a team that cared for 1,400 patients in the week after the disaster, according to the release. He also mentored medical students through Physicians for Health and Human Rights, a nonprofit organization.
