Orange-Caledonia needs experienced leader

Susan Culp, an Independent candidate for the Orange-Caledonia House seat, has the credentials and experience needed to represent this district during a time when consequential change is being deliberated in Montpelier.

Having a Democratic supermajority has prevented vigorous debate on bills and spending, while their mismanagement of one-time COVID money led to unsustainable programs, increased hiring and bloated budgets. This has dragged Vermont into the current financial crisis we find ourselves in today. We need someone who will ask difficult questions, request data driven outcomes and put a spotlight on wasteful spending.

Susan has a sharp eye for statutes, and the experience and knowledge she has earned over the years has given her the capacity to absorb and analyze large amounts of information – a critical skill given that the Vermont State Assembly introduces 800 to 900 bills each year, and a legislator needs to be able to digest and comprehend the ramifications of each one of those bills that moves forward during the legislative session.

Other candidates may “show up,” but Susan arrives prepared. She is thoughtful, tenacious, and will resist influence by special interest groups and party politics. She will work to support our district and to create a level playing field for those of us who cherish living in rural Vermont.

Vote for Susan Culp on Nov. 3.
