WOODSTOCK — Submissions are open for Billings Farm & Museum’s annual quilt exhibition.

The juried exhibition is open to Vermont residents, or out-of-state residents who are members of Vermont quilt guilds, according to the Woodstock-based nonprofit organization. The deadline is Tuesday, March 31. To be considered, quilters must fill out an online submission form, which includes attaching a photograph of the quilt. More information, including submission guidelines, can be found at billingsfarm.org/quilt-exhibition.

The exhibition selection committee — which includes curatorial staff at Billings — will review submissions and select around 50 quilts, which will be displayed from June 27 through Sept. 7 at Billings Farm & Museum during the “Vermont Quilt Sampler” exhibition, which is in 40th year.

Committee members look for a variety of quilts in different styles and “will give additional weight in the selection process to the stories that are stitched into each quilt and the connection to community that these represent,” according to submission guidelines.

Last year, two Upper Valley residents were honored for their work: Kate Salesin, of West Lebanon, earned the Best Hand Quilting award; and Jane Rippe, of Enfield, earned the Best Machine Quilting award.
