Book Sale coming soon
The 2026 Five Colleges Book Sale is coming soon! It will be held at Lebanon High School from April 24-26. It’s our 61st Sale! Imagine that! (For more information: www.five-collegesbooksale.org)
Folks from all over the Upper Valley and beyond have been arriving at this year’s donation site, the former West Lebanon Rite Aid location in the Shaw’s Plaza on Route 12A, to donate lightly-used books on almost every topic you can think of, from Art to Zoonoses.
When you come to donate, you’ll see a hive of book bees sorting and pricing the donations. Volunteers from the local area and even further away in N.H. and Vt. come every day during “sorting season” to separate the donated books into categories and price them very reasonably.
Many of these men and women have been volunteering for years and years. Some are interested students, some are parents giving us a few hours, some are people taking time from work to help, and there are lots of retirees, a few of whom are fossils, like me. My first Sale adventure was in 1976!!
I encourage you to join us. Donate. Volunteer. Come to the sale. We’ll be looking for you.
