How to pause the start of war
Operation Epic Fury. I have a recommendation on how to bring this action and every war potentially initiated by our country either to an end, or at least to deep agreement on the part of the American public to go forward with the action.
A law, and a Constitutional amendment that requires that any war must be paid for up front, and not simply added to America’s credit card/ debt. If a war is important enough to fight, then is is important enough to ask every American citizen, and not just members of the military, to have “skin in the game” — we must pay for it with by immediately raising tax dollars. I imagine that this will give many Congressional reps and Senators pause. They will have to explain to their constituents why what is being undertaken is important enough for them to pay for the action. In fact, I would bet that most, if not all, Republicans will not want to go forward with such an operation if we actually have to pay for it.
