Article of note: Voters are being asked to consider whether $50,000 from the Townโ€™s capital reserve fund should be used to demolish the North Hartland School building. Last year, voters defeated an article that would have authorized the Selectboard to sell the 1950s-era building located at 24 Mill St.

Contested races: There are no contested races for Selectboard or School Board this year.ย 

Budgets and spending articles: The proposed general and highway fund budgets total $4.26 million, of which $3.23 million would be raised from taxes. That’s up from last yearโ€™s $3.85 million, $3.04 million coming from taxes. ย The proposed school budget is $11.8 million, up from last yearโ€™s $11.2 million.ย 

When, where and how to vote: The annual school meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Damon Hall at One Quechee Road at 7 p.m. Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 3, at 9 a.m. at Damon Hall and voting by Australian ballot will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
