HARTLAND — Voters rejected an article that would have allowed the sale of the North Hartland School building in Town Meeting voting on Tuesday.

They approved all other articles from the floor, including eliminating the office of town lister and replacing it with a professional assessor and general fund and highway fund budgets totaling $3.85 million, of which $3.04 million will come from taxes.

At the polls, voters settled a contested race for a two-year term on the Selectboard by choosing Clyde Jenne over David Dukeshire, 360-139.

In uncontested races, they elected Thomas Kennedy to a three-year term on the Selectboard. On the school side, Hannah Bensimhon earned a three-year term on the School Board and Heather Vonada earned a two-year term.

They approved a school budget of $11.2 million.
