Articles of note: Voters will be asked to eliminate the office of Constable effective July 1. Voters will also be asked to approve changes to Corinth’s subdivision bylaws to make them clearer and easier to navigate and to include more provisions to protect “rural character, water quality, wildlife and agriculture” in design plans, according to a summary.

Contested races: There are two people vying for a two-year term on the Selectboard: Carl Demrow and Brian Kirkpatrick.

Budgets and spending articles: The proposed general fund budget is $614,000, of which $355,000 is to be raised by taxes. Last year, voters approved a general fund budget of $531,000. The proposed highway fund budget is $994,000, of which $808,000 is to be raised by taxes. Last year, voters approved a $967,000 highway fund budget. The proposed highway capital equipment fund is $97,000 to be raised by taxes. Last year voters approved a $130,000 highway capital equipment fund.

When, where and how to vote: Town Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 3 at 10 a.m. at Corinth Town Hall, 1387 Cookeville Rd. Voting on officers and the proposed subdivision bylaw amendments will be by ballot on the same date and at the same location from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
