The Big Green ski team was dominant over the weekend, winning six of eight events and taking first place at the Williams Carnival that took place on Friday and Saturday in Williamstown, Mass.
On Friday, Ava Thurston (27:31.3) won the womenโs 15K Freestyle, while Oscar Zimmer (1:31.68) and Emma Resnick (1:34.75) won the giant slalom for the men and women, respectively.

On the second day of competition, the womenโs 3×5 Classic Relay team of Amelia Tucker, Thurston, and Evie Walton (49:10.1) won the event. Additionally, Zimmer (1:34.89) won the men’s slalom, and Zoe Zimmermann (1:35.79) won the women’s.
Furthermore, Resnick and Heming Sola received weekly EISA recognitions for their performances. Sola finished second in both the giant slalom (1:31.89) and slalom (1:35.33).
The ski team will next turn its focus to the Middlebury Carnival โ also considered the NCAA Regionals event and Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association Championship โ which is slated to begin on Friday.

Womenโs lacrosse opens season with a bang
The Big Green started their season dominantly, routing a visiting Bryant squad, 19-6, on Saturday. Fiona O’Keefe and Madeline Egan were standouts on offense, each notching five goals. Additionally, Catherine Erb had four goals; Katie Barr scored twice; and Lauren Riley, Charlotte Myers, and Etta Coburn added one goal each.
Dartmouth (1-0) battles New Hampshire on the road on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
Menโs basketballโs losing streak extends to three
Dartmouth hosted Yale on Friday and dropped its second straight game, falling 83-70. Connor Amundsen led the way offensively for the Big Green with 16 points. Kareem Thomas, Jayden Williams and Anton Strelnikov added 11 points each.ย
The Big Green were unable to secure a win the next day when they hosted Brown, dropping a close one, 79-76. Williams was Dartmouthโs leading scorer with 24 points, while Thomas had 22 points and Brandon Mitchell-Day added 10 points.
The Big Green are now 10-13 overall and 4-6 in conference play. They will battle Columbia on the road on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Womenโs basketball winless over the weekend
The Big Green traveled to Brown on Friday and fell 58-51 for their second straight loss. Zeynep Ozel led Dartmouth in scoring in the loss with 13 points. Nina Minicozzi, who had 11 points, was the only other Big Green player to score in double figures.
That loss was followed by another on Saturday, 82-54, on the road against Yale. Ozel was the Big Greenโs leading scorer again with 11 points. Cate MacDonald, who had 10 points, was the only other Dartmouth player to score in double figures.
The Big Green are now 10-13 overall and 1-9 in conference play. They host Columbia on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Menโs squash goes 1-2 in latest matchups
The Big Green started their week off strong, downing visiting Williams on Wednesday, 7-2. Gurshan Jolly, Arihant Kalamangalan Sunil, Wei Yan Tho, Sam Boulanger, Brandon Wang, Rohan Ray, and Warren Klein picked up wins for Dartmouth.
However, things did not pan out as well for the squad later in the week: they fell on the road to Princeton, 8-1, on Saturday and were blanked by Penn, 9-0, on the road Sunday. Klein had the only Big Green victory in both matchups.
Dartmouth finished the regular season 7-7 overall and 1-5 in conference play. Next up are the College Squash Association Divisional Team Championships, which begin on Feb. 27.
Womenโs squash also goes 1-2 on the week
Like the menโs squad, Dartmouthโs womenโs squash had a great start to the week, routing Williams at home on Wednesday, 8-1. Winning Big Green athletes included: Maria Clara Ramรญrez, Xiang Xiang Liu, Ellie Clifford, Maya Shroff, Nathalie Taylor, Kriti Muthu, Uma Patnaik, and Zayna Usman.
The end of the week did not go as well, as the squad lost both road matchups to Princeton and Penn, 9-0 on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
With the regular season finished, the Big Green are 6-8 overall and 1-5 in conference play. Next for the Big Green is the College Squash Association Divisional Team Championships, which begin on Feb. 27.
Womenโs hockey stops losing streak; ends regular season with a win
The Big Green lost their ninth straight game on Friday when they traveled to Union and were blanked, 1-0. The Big Green put 43 shots on Union but were unable to come away with a goal. Dartmouth netminder Jiahui Zhan had 14 saves in the loss.
Dartmouth would end that losing streak on Saturday when it closed the regular season with a 5-3 win on the road against RPI. Bridget Pringle, Sophia Chard, Olivia Paidosh, Cally Dixon, and Ella Inglis scored for the Big Green in the win.
The Big Green finished the regular season 5-22-3 overall and 3-16-3 in conference play. They will take on Brown on the road on Saturday at 3 p.m. in the ECAC Hockey Tournament.
Menโs hockey falls to Brown
After tying Yale on the road on Friday, 4-4, and picking up a shootout win, the Big Green faced Brown on the road on Saturday and fell 4-3. Hank Cleaves scored twice in the loss, while Nikita Nikora added a goal of his own.
Dartmouth is now 17-7-2 overall, 11-5-2 in conference play, and is now 14th in the nation in the latest USCHO.com rankings. The Big Green travel to RPI on Friday for a 7 p.m. matchup, then head to Union on Saturday, with puck drop scheduled for 5 p.m.
Menโs hockey goalie named semifinalist for Richter Award
In better news for the Big Green, goalie Emmett Croteau is one of 10 goalies from around the country to be named as a semifinalist by the Hockey Commissioners Association for the Mike Richter Award, which is given to the best goaltender in Division I hockey.
Croteau has a .919 save percentage and 1.99 goals-against average.
Menโs lacrosse opens season with a loss
The Big Green began their 2026 campaign on the road against a top-20-ranked team in Boston University on Sunday and fell 13-5. Tyler Juhlin scored twice in the loss, while Stu Gates, Alex Jessey, and Quinn Stankovits each added one goal.
Despite the loss, goaltender Max Becker, who had 18 saves, was named the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts.
The Big Green (0-1) will battle Vermont on the road on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Menโs tennis wins one of three matches at ECAC Indoor Championships
The Big Green were blanked, 4-0, in their first two matches against Princeton and Harvard at the event in Princeton, N.J. that ran from Friday to Monday.
But the Big Green did close with a 4-3 win against Brown. Miles Groom, Leo Pade, and Denny Bao had the singles wins, while the duos of Groom and Henry Ren and Bao and Kornel Halmos won in doubles.
Dartmouth is 6-1 overall and takes on Army in Chicago on Feb. 28.
Equestrian loses spring opener
The Big Green dropped its opener to Charleston on the road, 6-4, on Sunday. Kileigh Van Ness, Camilla Jerng, Grace Russo, and Alexa Strauss had wins for Dartmouth.
Dartmouth is now 3-1 and ends the regular season at Centenary on March 8.
Menโs soccer announces new staff addition
Ross Macklin, who most recently was Carnegie Mellonโs Associate Head Coach, has joined new Head Coach Connor Klekotaโs staff as an assistant coach. Macklin also has coaching experience from time at Macalester College, Vassar, and Singapore FC.
Track competes in Massachusetts over the weekend
Members of the Big Green track team competed at the Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University and the Crimson Open hosted by Harvard on Friday and Saturday.
At the Valentine Invitational, the menโs 4×4 relay squad of Jack Rousseau, Liam Murray, Adrien Jacobs, and Winston Morgan (3:12.95), and the womenโs team of Veronika ลรญmovรก, Lindsey Kerrins, Mariella Schweitzer, and Rebeka ลฝibritovรก (3:45.42) both finished in sixth place for their respective genders. Additionally, Noe Kemper won the 800-meter (1:49.43) at the Crimson Open.
The Big Green will next compete at the BU DMR Challenge on Saturday.
