Americans are over Trump’s antics

Once again, President Trump is making an absurd statement, just to put the seed of an idea out there to germinate.  For years, people have  ignored such nonsense as buffoonish blather. However, what we have learned is that Trump has these notions, despite the legality, and begins to make a case that heโ€™s been wronged in the past, and only he can do the right thing. His desire to โ€œnationalize elections in some statesโ€ shows his desperation to retain his unprecedented power grab from Congress, and as is his method, ignoring the Constitution and trying to find a work-around. Article 1, Section 4 of the Constitution clearly indicates states have the authority to run elections.   Trump has been bemoaning the fact that the mid-terms almost always swing to the party that lost the presidency.  He claims โ€œit doesnโ€™t have to be that way.โ€

He instructed red states to redistrict, has called for federal ID to vote and to eliminate mail-in ballots.ย  It appears he wants to make sure swing states or previously reliable red states continue to vote his way. Recent elections for federal or state legislators have been won by democrats in states previously won handily by republicans. Trump sees the writing on the wall.

The vast majority of this country has been horrified by the actions of Homeland Security and ICE.  His grievously unqualified administration has violently mismanaged the handling of the deportation of thousands of persons in this country. We have watched in horror as American citizens have been murdered for documenting the brutal behavior of these agents.

No matter how often or loud he states heโ€™s brought prices โ€œwaaaaayyyyโ€ down, our shopping trips prove otherwise. His bullying of other nations has been dangerous and a huge embarrassment to most Americans.  Republicans in congress have just let Trump do his thing.

If the mid-term elections are not interfered with, we will most likely see a shift in the power dynamic in congress.  Americans are fed up with with this administration.
