Hope in a hopeless world
I have advanced Parkinson’s disease. The number of complete strangers who have offered to help me carry a package into the post office, or asked if they could lug my groceries to my car or have helped me get up when I’ve suddenly fallen has been much more than I would have expected. I’m grateful for the good people of the Upper Valley.
This also gives me hope that we can recognize our common humanity and respect our differences and survive the difficult times we are experiencing. The question I have is will we?
