Lebanon Middle School students paint mural
Lebanon Middle School art students now have their work displayed as part of a mural in the Lebanon Tunnel in downtown Lebanon. Under the direction of teacher Daniel Masi, students painted a mural of a school bus on the tunnel’s wall in 2024, according to Lebanon School District news release. This school year, they created six panels resembling the windows of a school bus, which will be changed by students over the years.
โLast year, we launched a Mural Crew club with the theme โChoose Your Own Adventure,โ which tied into the transportation themes already present in the tunnel,โ Masi said in the release. โThe students wanted the mural to reflect their work and lives at the middle school, and that led to the idea of a living muralโone that transforms over time.โ
Sixth-grader Evangeline Audino took Masiโs Mural Lab class this fall and worked with her classmates on the panels.
โIt was really exciting because Iโve never done anything like that before,โ she said in the release. โAnd the place where itโs at, you can walk by, look up and say, โI worked on that.โโ
