Lebanon, NH – Michael Anthony Griffin, known affectionately as “Griff,” passed away on November 28, 2025, at the age of 59 in Lebanon, NH. Born on June 11, 1966, in Stuttgart, Germany, Michael was a kind-hearted and patient man, known for his intelligence and his deep love for history. His warm smile and infectious laugh will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Michael earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine at Farmington and later his Master’s degree from Keene State University. His career was marked by significant contributions to the cartography industry, having worked at GDT, Teleatlas, and Tomtom. His keen insight and dedication made him a respected figure among his colleagues.
Throughout his life, Michael was an avid gamer, beginning with the original Dungeons & Dragons and expanding a variety of roleplaying, computer, and tabletop games. He could be found all over New England at tables and served to help bring Carnage, Mayhem, and HiJinx gaming conventions to the community.
He recently developed a passion for 3D printing, a hobby that allowed him to express his creative nature. He put his printers to good use, making the lives of his friends and family easier or just a little more amusing.
Michael is survived by his wife, Brenda; children, Alexandria, Austin, and Liam; his grandson, Griffin Bouchard; his mother, Virginia; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his father, John.
Details of his celebration of life will be announced at a later date closer to his birthday.
Michael’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Please remember him with a smile in your heart and a story on your lips.
