SHARON — The park and ride located next to Exit 2 of I-89 in Sharon will be closed for construction beginning on Tuesday.
The park and ride will remain closed through Nov. 14 while construction is ongoing.
The $946,000 project includes installing a new bus shelter, drainage, pavement markings, lighting, signage and sidewalk, according to the Vermont Agency of Transportation’s website.
The park and ride currently has 23 parking spots. An additional 10 spots will be added to the expanded lot.
Westminster, Vt.- based contractor Bazin Brothers Trucking is overseeing the state project.
As an alternative while the Sharon site is closed, vehicles will be directed to the park and ride in Royalton near Exit 3 of I-89.
