UNITY — New Hampshire’s Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has confirmed the identity of the victim of a Sunday mobile home fire.

Unity resident Michael Maco, 75, whose body was recovered from a mobile home at 299 Quaker City Road died from carbon monoxide poisoning, a Tuesday news release from the State Fire Marshal’s Office said.

The medical examiner deemed the manner of the death to be accidental.

Firefighters responded to a mobile home at 6 p.m. on Sunday after receiving reports of an “outside fire,” according to news release from the state fire marshal.

When they arrived on the scene, firefighters discovered “a mobile home fully consumed in flames.” They also found Maco’s body in the home.

Maco owned the 25.42-acre parcel, according to Unity tax maps.
