White River School third grader Ivy Everson, of White River Junction, won the top prize for her grade level in the Growing Works of Art contest, an annual contest sponsored by the Vermont Urban and Community Forestry Program, a partnership between UVM Extension and the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation.
Woodstock Union High School senior Myra McNaughton was awarded the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) Good Citizen award by the White River Junction-based Thomas Chittenden NSDAR chapter. Woodstock High faculty selected McNaughton for the award, which is given to one student who exemplifies dependability, service, leadership and patriotism.
Claire Grigsby, of White River Junction, earned bachelorโs degrees in graphic design and studio art with honors from High Point University in High Point, N.C., this May.
Georgia Winn, of Quechee, was inducted into Emerson Collegeโs Gold Key Honor Society in Boston.
