Neither Barnard nor Bridgewater were able to elect a school board representative because there were no candidates. Interested candidates, who must be registered voters in their towns, may send letters of interest to their Selectboards, said Rayna Bishop, the executive assistant at the Windsor Central Supervisory Union. The Selectboards would then appoint a qualified person to fill the vacancy until the next election.ย

Matt Maxham, of Woodstock, won a write-in electionย to be the districtโ€™sย moderator, an uncompensated position. There were no contested races on the ballot.

Bridgewater rejected the school district budget at Town Meeting, but majorities inย Barnard, Killington, Plymouth, Pomfret, Reading and Woodstock approved it.ย Counts from each town areย commingled, so the budgetย passed.

Woodstock rejected an articleย thatย authorizesย the Windsor Central Unified Unionย School District to borrow money not in excess of anticipated revenue for the school year. In every other townย in the district, however, a majority of votersย approved the article and so it passed.
