Contested races: There are no contested races, and there are four open elected positions with no candidates on the ballot.

Budgets and spending articles: Voters will be asked to authorize the school board to spend $24,314,318 during the upcoming fiscal year, which comes to $19,567 per equalized pupil. If approved, that would be a $1,558,680, or 6.85%, increase over the current yearโ€™s budget. Except for Barnard, all of the towns in the district are expected to see an increase in their tax rate.

When, where and how to vote: An informational hearing on the proposed budget will be held both virtually and in person at the Windsor Central Supervisory Union on Thursday, Feb. 24, at 6:30 p.m. A Zoom link is available through the budget tab on WCSUโ€™s website.

Voting by Australian ballot will be held on March 1, with residents voting in their respective towns. Barnard voters will vote at the Barnard Town Hall between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Bridgewater voters will vote at the Bridgewater Town Clerkโ€™s Office between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Killington voters will vote at the Killington Town Hall between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Plymouth voters will vote at the Municipal Building between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Pomfret voters will vote at the Town Offices between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Reading voters will vote at the Reading Town Hall between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Woodstock voters will vote at the Woodstock Town Hall between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
