THETFORD CENTER, VT — Lillian M. (Erwin) Race, 65 of Thetford Center VT passed away early Monday morning April 5th peacefully in her sleep.
Lillian was born April 13th 1955 in Littleton NH. When she was 7 she moved to Whippoorwill Road, Thetford Center VT where she lived most of her life. Lillian graduated from Thetford Academy in 1973. In 1975 she married her high school sweet heart, Robert (Bob) H. Race. Bob and Lillian were married for 45 years.
Lillian loved gardening, playing violin and guitar, cooking and baking, cake decorating, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. Lillian was a very kind, gentle, and caring person. whom always had a smile on her face. Lillian’s favorite thing was to spoil her grandkids.
She was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth (Towle) Erwin, and her sister, Kathleen (Erwin) Dresser.
Lillian is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob) H. Race, a son, Shane A. Race and daughter-in-law, Deanna (Mitchell) Race, daughter, Amanda E. (Race) McKinney and son in law, Craig A. McKinney, along with her three granddaughters, Krystal, Marissa, Hailey and grandson, Trevor.
Services will be held privately. Her family does plan to hold a Celebration of Life later on this summer. Hale Funeral Home in Bradford, VT is handling arrangements.
